Tania and James are the team behind Yoga for Dementia and together their goal is to help improve the lives of people living with dementia through simplified yoga practices.
Tania has over 20 years experience practicing and teaching yoga to people from all ages and backgrounds. She has first hand knowledge of the care sector and the devastating effects of dementia on people and their loved ones. Tania is passionate about improving the lives of those living with dementia, their families and care givers through the gentle and joyous benefits of yoga. She and her team of yoga professionals work within care homes and with individuals providing tailored classes and training.
Tania recently completed a successful 18 month programme with a UK care home. It resulted in improvements in meeting older adult exercise targets, reductions in anxious and violent behaviors, and a greater sense of wellbeing in the home.
